LIVE Podcast: Today!!!

Though we weren't sure how we were going to make it through 9 long months without Lost (and many of those without the LLD :/ ), the wait is almost over. It's time to reignite the obsession and spend the next few months wondering when we'll get answers to questions that we know we'll never get answers for. The whole drama with Karl sadly leading up to Ben's "I didn't want him to get you pregnant. I suppose I overreacted," was an especially bad one.

We know we've owed you guys a podcast for a while, and part of the procrastination has been what to actually podcast about. We didn't have any retrospective to do like we did last break, and the "Best Of" series was a bust. So in lieu of an actual topic, we've decided to do a live podcast, "The ABC's of Lost."

Join us today on TalkShoe, as we alphabetically discuss the best and worst of Lost. It should be a blast, and we look forward to you guys and gals joining us.

Title: Lost Lowdown Podcast #37

Calm down guys. I love the podcast as much as anyone, but still, we all have like a million hours of old ones we can listen to. I'm anxious too, but C & J Don't get paid for entertaining us, they have lives outside of the podcast (I assume... ;-) ) So simmer down with all the angry swearing, it's not getting you a podcast any sooner.

I am almost mourning the impending loss of my real life.........the one without LOST.............almost.
I might as well kiss it good-bye (for 8 weeks at least) with a new LLD....so, "bring it on!"

For the past few months I have listened to and become infatuated with World Have Your Say, a program from the BBC World Service. It can be heard live at 600 UTC or 10 AM California time on the BBC World Service. Listen at bbc.co.uk/worldservice/ or can be downloaded as a podcast at bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/whys/ . Also available on satellite radio: I do not know about Sirius, but on XM it is channel 131.

As the title suggests, a topic is chosen by a listener and people all over the world contact the show via phone, text, email or blog comments (worldhaveyoursay.com).

This is a nice one hour podcast available every weekday.

Just last week I started listening to other BBC World Service podcasts like Documentary Archive, Health Check and From Our Own Correspondent, all mostly recorded on the go. For example, a recent Documentary Archive discussed looted art from WWII, similar to a television documentary program but made for the radio. This week's Health Check was about health care in remote Bangladesh, and was recorded on the spot, up close and personal.

One caveat is they only come out on weekdays, and Health Check is only once a week.

I had saved back the season 2 retrospectives for emergency listening! So.....as I listen I see that they are as irrelevant as they are entertaining!

Wow, a lot of stuff used to be very important - makes me wonder what we are thinking about now that will just - poof!- disappear??!! Whoever is in the Coffin - I'm looking at you!

Personally who's-in-the-coffin wasn't a big question for that episode. I was more amazed that it was a flash forward. I doubt it would be someone we have been introduced to yet. Maybe Christian is not Jack's real dad but Jack's mom cheated and it's that guy? Of course Kate would not want to go to Jack's real dad's funeral.

I pulled out my Season 3 DVDs to watch them the other day but rewatched season 1 of Dexter instead... It's just so much better and rewatchable. Season two isn't as fun. There are lots of good parts but I really hate Lila and he easily could have gotten around saying "I have an addiction" to Rita's "How do you know how to cook the heroin and how big a dose for a big guy like Paul?" How about "I went to medical school. They teach us these things"? I mean, he's never done heroin but he knew it somehow, he should have told her how he really knew. (Unless it's just with his experience drugging victims).

I could not agree more. She ruined season 2 for me, and I always hated that they took the story in that direction. Oh well, at least season 1 was awesome.

but didnt damon and carlton verify who is in the coffin at comic-con?

Paul - Coffin inhabitant confirmation - I don't think so, but don't hold me to it, I am trying to be completely spoiler free for this season, too!

Has anyone spent any time on the Flight 815 virtual experience/game?

If so, is it worth it on any level?

At what point does a podcast stop 'looming' and we are just back to waiting??!??

*Smile, and Wink*

I watched comic con and they did not reveal who's in the coffin. Remember the "leaked complete newspaper article" that C & J talked about for quite a while on the 13 hour'er was a hoax. But in December Carlton did say we have seen the person in the coffin before. So much for my theory.

I've been doing the find 815 stuff. It's pretty entertaining, but I dont think it will really have anything to do with the show in the long run, but it's something to pass the time while waiting for lost... and podcasts :-P

i think you should go over the mobisodes in detail. no one has really done that and i think there must be more clues there that are all strung together that we are missing.
just a suggestion :)

You guys are hilarious, a blast to listen to regardless of what you are discussing...I offer only this tidbit for the show: when you get to "Z", don't neglect the possibilities in the USA/CANADA pronunciations: given the oft mentioned Canada-isms (Ethan, The Girls in the Hatch, etc) be sure to include a Z'ed and a Z'ee discussion!

This is slighty off topic but did you guys have a chance to check out the new J.J Abrams monster movie 'Cloverfield'? It's been getting great reviews and apparently there are a few Lost references in it as well.
