Oh goody, longer IS better. And ummm - can you guys give a short bio sometime, like - where do you record this, how do you two know each other, age, weight, favorite ice cream flavor, etc?

Hi there, you were discussing the bit where Locke gives Eko his cross back and didn't remember how he got it. Well he found it in episode 3 while tracking the polar bear to find Eko. I know how you felt about this episode so you were probably cringing so much you forgot it!

Ps. Here in the UK, a piddle is what puppies and kittens do on the carpet! (but you didn't need to know that)

Heh, Im fairly new to your podcast. I love these long podcasts. Im in a buisness that requires me to travel a lot and this is perfect for me because im always flying to like New Zealand, or Europe, so after that 22 hour flight to new zealand these podcasts make the time fly, no pun intended. ( I also get to pass over where the Island of Lost should Be)

Haven't made it all the way through yet, but so far it's another great podcast. I said last week that you were in my top two podcasts, I think you might be my new favorite, for whatever it's worth (ha, I'm sure you're thrilled!).

I think I need to start taking notes while listening to you guys because I think of stuff that I want to comment on, but then I forget by the time I have a chance to get online. Here's a couple of things.

For some reason I thought that Eko did sell the vaccines to the other warload dude, but I could see it either way. Regardless, I think the point was that he saw a chance to make a quick profit before heading to London. So, he not only gets his brother killed, he takes his church, renigs on a deal his brother had already made on the vaccine, gets an innocent bystander killed, kills the guys his brother made a deal with, and in the process, disgraces the church. Then he heads off to London to continue his priesthood. Nice guy.

Couldn't agree more with both you guys on the Locke/Pearl Hatch story. Bad lines, weak characters (Nikki and Paulo), etc. Other than the millisecond look at ol' patchy, I can't decide if these scenes were humerous or just flat out bad. The writing style seems out of place- almost campy.

Well, off to make some "brownies" and listen to more of your show. Later.

Forgot to mention- you've probably heard it by now, but in the official podcast, Lindelof and Cuse talk about Eko's last words to Locke, which Locke repeated as "we're next". It was pretty funny actually, they were like, just don't think about what Eko would have actually said, just take Locke's interpretation to be true.

They also confirmed (at least in the way that Lindelof and Cuse confirm anything) that the smoke monster appeared to Eko as Yemi, but I was confused about their explanation for why Yemi (smoke monster) questioned Eko about speaking to him as if he was his brother. I think they were saying that it was supposed to be our clue that it was the smoke monster and not really Yemi, but I mean, didn't we already know that it wasn't really Yemi?

One last thing, you guys were talking about the big rocks that were blocking the door to Yemi's plane, and I agree with you guys that it was weird that they were there; but, I've heard a number of folks say it was a parallel to the giant rock being rolled away from Christ's tomb, and of course, like Christ, Yemi's body is gone. That's probably what they were going for and needed some big rocks at the door, so they just stuck them there. I guess we're to believe that they maybe rolled down the cliff that the plane is next to?

mr. monkey, were you the one having trouble downloading?

I heard that podcast 420, we will talk about it on our next podcast. It's hard to know what D&C really think about anything.

Guys,
Great podcast as always. Can't wait for next week's 6 hr plus edition. One thing I haven't heard you mention lately is Penny. Her men in the listening station told her they think they found "him" at the end of season 2, but nothing since. What do you think is going on with that story thread?

nedd,
I haven't said anything about it because there hasn't even been a hint of it in the show yet.
If I were a betting man, I would bet that they don't address it tonight, either.
I think it's one of those things they might wait until the end of the season to deal with.

Well, as Joe mentioned, our little mishap in recording was left in there. Hopefully you all think it's as charming as Joe does, but I overlooked it when I was editing. My only regret was that the fairly lengthy bit of silence there.

Any hoo, now you guys get a glimpse of what happens when we record. And over the break we'll post some of the funnier moments during those bits.

Love the feedback guys. Curt, I think it was both...

Joe,

I like your idea that Jack sees something going on with Sawyer and Kate which helps to push him to get off the island. But would he really leave so many behind?

Curt,

After reading Joe's comment on the phone mishap, it dawned on me what you meant in your first post.

Justin and I record ourselves separately on our computers while we talk to each other on the phone. So even though his phone died, his computer mic was still recording. That makes for some fun when we can't hear each other but our computers are still recording...

And yes, we should do a show together...

Oh man, I haven't finished your Cost of Living podcast yet and the new episode will be airing in a couple of hours. Oh well, luckily, the producers are giving us 13 weeks to catch up on all the podcasts that we've missed. OK, I feel better now.

Ha, I think I figured out why you guys have moved up in my playlist- I never have time to listen to anything else!! (Don't worry Curt, your podcast is still on my list!!) Four and six hour podcasts, I'm not sure how you guys manage to pull that off. My brain is usually toast after like 30 minutes of talking LOST with a friend.

OK, enough of the yada yada yada. Lookin' forward to tonight's epi, I have a feeling it's gonna be a doozy!

I don't know how others keep their podcasts down to an hour. I don't think you can go deep on any topics at that length.

thanks for sticking up for my pedigree Phat_Cartman.

i didn't have any problems downloading the podcast. in fact, i was having trouble playinig them on my ipod for the last few episodes but it worked fine this time.

ijust finished watching the "fall finale" and can't wait for the 12 hour Lost Lowdown.

I was the one with the problems, got it down the next day. and it was great. I listen to it on the buss, and laughed out loud at claude's "I'm mister Echo, biatch" line. he really should have said that!

well, the protein discussion... wow, drop it guys.

and I like your podcast because its not like a radioshow with lame music or whatever.. the best lost podcast I've checked out so far.

I just wanted to say that I disagree with that person who gave your podcast 2 stars because it didn't have music and call-ins and other stuff.

Personally, I like your show because you *don't* have all that. I usually fast-forward through musical intros and bumper music. The call-ins get annoying sometimes.

And as you said, plenty of other podcasts do that other stuff, so why be like everyone else?

So keep doing what you're doing -- I like listening to a podcast that's nothing but you guys talking about the show and no bells and whistles! The long podcasts are great; you mention a lot of things I never thought of.

Gina,

I just tried it from the mp3 link on the main page, and it worked for me. I know that sometimes Hipcast (where the files are hosted) gets screwy. So try again soon...

Glad you enjoyed the newest one...
Thanks for listening!
